Taiwan has proven itself a stable, democratic country. Emerging since 1971 to become an example to the rest of the world like South Korea on how Asian people can free them selves from dictatorship. The dictators in Beijing could learn much from their brothers in Taipei. The mainland since 1971 has grown ever more deadly, restrictive and oppressive. Communist Beijing is now pushing forward with a military and economic vitality that is unacceptable. Many in the west refuse to see communist china as a threat. They do not choose to look closely at the real communist china. Unseen are the forced abortions, political torture, rape of Tibet, and the weighty mind control that teaches its young people to hate their brothers in Taiwan and look at me in America as a barbarian devil.

Anyone seen the Law & Order SVU featuring a former Tibetan political prisoner who ends up murdered? Not an uplifting ending to this character but an interesting storyline including a pro-Tibet march in NYC and lots of dialogue about Chinese torture, oppression, etc.
