SFT Thanks Tibetan Communities

SFT’s Everest action has received a tremendous outpouring of support from Tibetans around the world. Many Tibetan Associations have been hosting SFT’s Lhadon Tethong and Tendor on the Everest Protest speaking tour. The events are also fund-raisers for SFT’s Olympics Action Fund. As Lhundup Amdo la, president of the Washington DC Tibetan Association, said in support of SFT’s Olympics Action Fund:

“Tibetans have successfully created awareness of our cause over the last many years, and the need now is to focus on actions with clear-cut results. When an action like the one on Everest generates headlines like ‘Activists turn up heat on Beijing Olympics’ in the Wall Street Journal, China will start getting nervous.”

In order to express our sincere gratitude for the support of the Tibetan Associations of North America, SFT would like to publicly acknowledge their efforts. Unless requested otherwise, we thank each Association and all their members for the support they are giving to SFT’s Olympics Action Fund (we know some Associations are smaller than others, and we value their moral support regardless of the financial amount they contribute).
