CNN poll: nearly 75% of Americans think “Tibet should be independent”

A new poll released this morning shows that support for Tibetan independence is a mainstream position in the United States.

Nearly three-quarters of all Americans think Tibet should be an independent country, according to a new national poll.

    I’ve been looking for details on this poll and the results but I haven’t been able to find anything more specific than “Nearly three-quarters” and N=1023. It’s hard to cite this credibly without at least having the actual numbers for the independence question. It would also be nice to see, among those who did not favor independence, whether a significant number responded that they were ignorant about the situation/”no answer”, compared to those against independence.
